Loving Mother, Grandmother and Friend
Mrs Penelope Evelyn Elkins (née Hughes), died on 21 August 2021, aged 78, after a short stay in hospital. Wife of the late Colonel Trevor Elkins, she is deeply missed by her children, Julia, Nicola, Peter and Diana; her grandchildren and her dear friend, Andy. Family and friends will gather in Longparish to remember Penny’s life and her love and commitment to family and children.

I found this beautiful poem that spoke of my feelings of Penny who has been treasured and loved by me since I was 6 years old.
She doesn't know she's special
I know that's hard to believe
How a wonderful girl like her
Could sometimes be naive.
She really is a unique person
I just wish she only knew
That the words I speak about her
Are real and oh so true.
She's a very special girl
With a kind and gentle heart
You can't describe her in one word
You wouldn't even know where to start.
She's beautiful and caring
No one else can even compete
She's a very special girl
Who made our lives feel complete.
